This farm has many lovable animals, there were even baby lambs at the time of our visit. The host of the stay even allowed the kids to feed the animals at dinner time! The animals were all very social and friendly. 

Our quaint little farm house that was located remotely on the property, it was so peaceful. The house was surrounded by land so the kids could run around and play. It had everything we needed, it was so cozy for our family! 

 

Here we are all snuggled on the couch watching church online. There was an awesome stove in this house that we all enjoyed snuggling in front of. 

Just outside of our farm house what a steam sauna, and this awesome cider hot tub. This thing was amazing! Patrick and I talk about owning one of these one day. It came in a kit and the farmer share with us his story of building it, he was very excited they had just added it to the farm house! It was my jam for sure! 

We had so much good family time off the grid, we lived in our hoodies as the weather was turning from chilly to warm. The landscape and scenery was beautiful so why not eat outside! Love, love, love this family time around the dinning table!

 The Manby hot Springs along the Rio Grand River was really cool. Defiantly a remote 4-wheel drive to get there. It also is not well marked, had to ask a few locals but we made our way. When we arrived no one was there we had the whole place to ourselves. The water and setting were stunning, the powerful sound of the river echoing in the canyon was awesome!. While we were soaking in the hot springs, two longhorn sheep came down to the Rio Grand River to get some water!! 

The hike up the canyon is a leg burning but so worth it! 

This trip was amazing in so many ways. Patrick and I loved getting to know the host of Goji Farm was truly a delight. They were so kind to our family. I was able to knit them a basket to carry their eggs, fruit etc. They loved the handmade gift!

A little bio on the host! 

We have returned to NM after many years working as professionals in stuffy offices. Our family love the experience of creating an eco friendly, farm based place for those who wish to be close to nature and live of the land. Creating an eco friendly environment is an ongoing process. Our berries, fruits and vegetables are organically cultivated. The chickens are free ranging and the growth season has been extended by a green house. All of our casitas and cabins have wood fire stoves. The cabins are also heated by energy efficient air-heat pumps powered by solar. Eventually we would like to be totally off the grid and supply all of our electricity from wind and solar energy. The eco lodge is part of a recycling program and uses only use eco friendly cleaners, dish and laundry detergents. A grey water system and a large holding pond with well and acequia water are being created to irrigate our expanding Goji plantation. The Eco lodge's water comes from four deep wells, fed by mountain aquafirs. Here is a recent article in Taos News about our goji berry farm.
